Asuma Denzi
Asuma holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Development studies from Makerere University. She is a dedicated and passionate Social Worker with 3 years of hands-on experience in working with communities, schools, and young people. She enjoys helping others and making a positive difference in people’s lives. She has worked with children, families, and local leaders to support education, health, and community development.
She has experience in facilitating and running community, school, and awareness campaigns. She is good at talking to people, and supporting them solve problems, and working in a team. She is passionate about helping children stay in school and supporting families in need.
Her role is to facilitate financial literacy sessions under the GEMS project, while supporting report writing and documentation, community engagement and mobilization, and providing psychosocial support and counseling to enhance participant empowerment and program effectiveness.
In her free time, she enjoys watching movies that inspire reflection and creativity, and spending time with loved ones to build strong personal relationships.
