He is a Medical Doctor with a Master degree in Public Health from Makerere University. He is currently privately engaged in Commercial Agriculture and serving as Chairman Board of Governors for Community Concerns Uganda.
In the past, he served in various capacities in both government and private sector. In 2012-2013 he was Deputy Chief of Party for a USAID Funded project called TBCARE-I. This project was implemented in Uganda by the Netherland based Tuberculosis Foundation (KNCV) to support the Ministry of Health National TB/Leprosy program.
From 2007-2012 he worked with the Makerere University/IDI sponsored community-based TB Vaccine preparation study as Research Field Manager. He also served as the manager for the South- East Zone districts of the Ministry of Health National TB/Leprosy program from 1995-2016. From 1993- 1995, he worked with Buluba Hospital as Medical Officer and with TASO- Jinja as a part time Medical Officer from 1999 to 2003. He also served as Chairman School Management Committee for Buluba Day and Boarding Primary School.
